Call for Vocalists! Singing Christmas Tree 2025
The Singing Christmas Tree began in 1981 and ran through 2015. It began again in 2024 and now, with your participation we will have another great experience in 2025! Rehearsals will be held at two locations and times:
Sundays @ Clover Pass Community Church - 3pm
Thursdays @ Presbyterian Church at 7pm
If you need extra help - come 30 minutes early on these days!

The Heists perform at the Main Street Gallery
With a deep love for all American traditional music, The Heists bring bluegrass drive, country emotion, and old time groove to their original Alaskan folk music. Known for their toe-curling country and bluegrass harmonies, The Heists are currently co-writing their first album. Erin and Andrew Heist share songs and stories from decades of experience playing the bars and backrooms of Alaska!

"The World of Ward Cove Cannery" a solo exhibit by Cammie May
Artist Cammie May creates a love letter to Craig, Alaska’s Ward Cove Cannery in a nostalgic and in-depth exhibition documenting one of Craig’s historic landmarks with striking detail and whimsy.
Main Street Gallery exhibits and Artist Presentations are always free and open to the public!
Ketchikan Community Concert Band Rehearsal
KCCB rehearses for the December 21st, 2025, 3pm performance in the Kayhi Auditorium!!
Ketchikan Community Chorus Rehearsal
Rehearsals are every Tuesday from 6:30 to 8:30pm

Arts Report on KRBD
Each week at approximately 8:20 am KRBD hosts the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council for their weekly report on arts and humanities in Ketchikan and the surrounding area. Get a synopsis of the local music scene, performances, Gallery exhibits, pop-ups, and Calls to artists. The Arts Report often features special guests from the Ketchikan Theatre Ballet, Artists, and Curators. Tune in weekly to KRBD 105.3 FM Ketchikan, Metlakatla and Saxman, 107.1 FM North Ketchikan, Ward Cove, and Ketchikan, 101.7: Craig, 90.7: North Point Higgins, 90.1: Mountain Point, Hydaburg, Klawock, and Thorne Bay.
If you would like your event to be aired in the Arts Report please let us know by the Thursday prior.

Anak & Me DANCE - Ketchikan Kapamilya & Community Connections
This free event is specially designed for children ages 1 to 5 and their adult caregivers. Community Connections Early Learning Program Educator and Occupational Therapist will be providing developmental information on the importance of Music and Movement for young children. Through music and movement, you'll discover how these playful activities support early childhood development and strengthen the bond between children and the important adults in their lives — all while having fun and dancing together!
Class size is limited to 15 children, so register soon!

"Under the Sea" - Ketchikan Theatre Ballet Autumn Showcase and Auction
Island Music: Whitewater Trio
The Whitewater Trio is comprised of clarinetist/composer Christian Ellenwood, violinist Leanne Kelso, and pianist MyungHee Chung. Collectively, they have performed in venues around the world, been heard on Public Radio, and appeared with numerous orchestras including the Chicago and Baltimore Symphonies.
During their October 6-11 residency in both Ketchikan and Metlakata, the trio will perform two concerts, visit multiple schools, and engage with the community.
