Arts Report on KRBD
Each week at approximately 8:20 am KRBD hosts the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council for their weekly report on arts and humanities in Ketchikan and the surrounding area. Get a synopsis of the local music scene, performances, Gallery exhibits, pop-ups, and Calls to artists. The Arts Report often features special guests from the Ketchikan Theatre Ballet, Artists, and Curators. Tune in weekly to KRBD 105.3 FM Ketchikan, Metlakatla and Saxman, 107.1 FM North Ketchikan, Ward Cove, and Ketchikan, 101.7: Craig, 90.7: North Point Higgins, 90.1: Mountain Point, Hydaburg, Klawock, and Thorne Bay.

"Cherchez La Femme" by Elizabeth Belanger Exhibit
Cyrano's Art Gallery in Anchorage presents Cherchez La Femme by Elizabeth Belanger. The opening is August 5th from 5-7, this exhibit will run until August 28th on Thursdays and Fridays from 12-4p and during all performances.
Portable Southeast Art Exhibit submission deadline
Portable Southeast is a curated traveling art exhibit that will tour the region during the 2022-23 JAHC Gallery Season. This traveling art exhibit will feature artwork inspired by life on the coast and will travel to six communities in Southeast Alaska (locations are TBA) - with the goal to create new partnerships between communities and more exhibit opportunities for artists currently residing in Southeast Alaska. No fee to apply.
Artists may submit up to three pieces in any medium. Artwork must fit in a USPS Priority Mail Box (no larger than 14 x 12 x 3 1/4").
The deadline to submit work is Friday, August 19, 2022.
