Submit your short film to be considered for the 2nd Annual Ketchikan Film Festival on August 23rd at the Southeast Alaska Discovery Center Videos must be 10 minutes or less. Cindy Kallet & Grey Larsen in Concert
Kallet and Larsen in Concert Sunday, August 11, 6:00pm at the Main Street Gallery. Cindy Kallet and Grey Larsen are exquisite musicians and gentle souls, both of which make for a wonderful evening of music! Tickets are $20 each and are available at the door. Private lessons are also available on Monday, August 12 for flute, tin whistle, concertina, fiddle, harmonium, guitar, piano, and song writing. Call Bill Rotecki for more info at 225-5078.

Summer SLAM
Hosted by Jack Finnegan, the Summer Slam is a continuation of Story Slam which enables our summer residents a chance to participate in our fun storytelling venture. Come to the Creek Street Cabaret and share your "Beautiful Mistake" story, or just relax in the Creek Street Cabaret's wonderful atmosphere, and enjoy listening to others tell their tales!
The theme for the July Slam is Wild Card there is no theme!
The theme for the August Slam is "That's no Way to Say Goodbye"
The theme is a suggestion, not a requirement.

Ketchikan at the Fair
A temporary exhibit of Ketchikan artists featured in the 2019 Southeast Alaska State Fair.
Eighteen artists and crafters submitted fourty-one items to the Southeast Alaska State Fair in Haines, held July 25-28. A selection of Ketchikan’s creations will be on display at the Tongass Historical Museum from August 15-September 3, 2019, and will have you feeling hometown pride!
Entries include hand-turned wooden bowls, quilts, crocheted, knitted, and handwoven items... the eclectic variety of submissions shows the talent in our town, and took home some top awards!
