Ketchikan area Artists and Creatives have been inspiring the communities of this area since the beginning. Whether it is beautifully engineered and created halibut hooks, or the magnificent totem poles of the area, to the stories, poetry and drawings for the inception of the Alaska Magazine, to the creation and evolution of Wearable Art in Alaska artists continue to make the world we live in meaningful and joyful.
Noisy Waters Mural Festival Call For Artists
Eight finalists will be selected to paint in the 2026 Noisy Waters Mural Festival. Applications are due April 16, 2026 at 5 PM PT. Finalists will be notified on April 30, 2026 and announced to the public on May 10, 2026. Finalists must be available for live painting at the festival August, 14-16, 2026. Winners of the festival will receive commissions to paint large prize walls in Bellingham the following year.
Noisy Waters provides a $1000 stipend for Finalists chosen to participate that can be applied towards travel and lodging.
