The Monthly Grind

The Monthly Grind was created in 1990 as a monthly open mic meets coffee house performance series, running from September through May. The Monthly Grind, a fiscally sponsored program of the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council, is an all volunteer operation, including a Producer for each performance, dessert table organizers, ticket takers, sound, and of course the performers. The Monthly Grind is one of the essential events in Ketchikan that provides opportunities for young and old(er) to perform for a live audience, and which creates community and pride of place.

*Almost* always the third Saturday of the Month - always at the Saxman Tribal House - always at 7pm.

Tickets are $5 for adults, $1 for youth under 12. If you bring a homemade dessert you will get your $5 back if you want it. Bring your own mug for tea and coffee and help keep waste to a minimum.
