49th Annual Blueberry Arts Festival VENDOR INFORMATION PAGE
Hello Vendor,
We are getting excited as we put together all the pieces for the Blueberry Arts Festival!!! We hope your preparations are going well and you are looking forward to Saturday!!!! A couple reminders before the day.....
YOUR BOOTH ASSIGNMENT:
Your booth assignments can be found by clicking the Booth Description Button below. You have been assigned a traffic flow color, which means you will follow your assigned color traffic pattern on the Traffic Flow Map Button below. Please make sure your colored parking placard (included in the mailed version of this envelope) is visible in the dash of your car throughout the entire day of August 3rd.
For everyone’s safety, 49th State Security Services will be routing traffic in accordance with the color patterns on the attached map. Please do NOT deviate from your assigned traffic flow as it will not only cause a blockage for all other vendors, it may also result in car accidents or pedestrian injuries.
RULES OF PARTICIPATION:
· All booth spaces are 10ft x10ft. Please do not bleed over into your neighbor’s space. All booth spaces will be numbered and outlined in chalk for your convenience.
· Be a BBAF advocate! Feel free to tag the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council and the 49th Annual Blueberry Arts Festival as you hype up your booth on social media.
· Accessibility: The City parking lot above the Improved Order of Red Men building will be parking for your customers. Whale Park will be parking for wheelchair accessible parking only. SAIL will have a walker and wheelchair loaner station available at the St. John’s parking lot on Mission Street.
· No live animals (except service animals) are allowed at your booth.
· Vendors may not sell, transfer, lease or switch Booth spaces.
· You must provide your own canopies, chairs, tables, booth, set-up, and take-down crew.
· The sidewalk is for foot traffic only! It is not for storage, or selling, and must be kept clear.
· Don’t forget! The “Verushka Award”, in memory of Faith Duncan, will be given to the booth most representative of the Blueberry Arts Festival spirit! Winners receive a free Booth space in the following year!
· In addition, our sponsor Alaska Airlines will be running a people’s choice vote for the “Blueberriest Booth” through KTKN. The winner will have their name in lights!!! – but will not receive any other prize.
· KAAHC reserves the right to ask you to remove items from your display or shut down your booth if we find items or attitudes to be inappropriate for this family-friendly, community arts festival.
· KAAHC reserves the right to place booths in the safest and most logical location.
· KAAHC reserves the right to deny participation in any future KAAHC arts festivals.
THE DAY OF:
· You may start setting up at 6:00 am, Saturday morning, August 3rd, 2024. It is important to quickly unload your items to the sidewalk and remove your car from the street. This reduces congestion and allows other booth vendors to do the same. Go park your car FAR AWAY, and then come back to your booth site and set up.
· Streets will be closed to all traffic and parking at 8:00 am! No cars will be admitted for any reason after 8:00 am and all cars will be removed by 8:00 am.
· Please be set up and ready by 10:00 am, Saturday, August 3rd.
· All Booths must stay open until 5:00 pm! You may not pack up early. It is not permissible to begin breakdown before the Festival ends at 5:00 pm, so have a “Plan B” in case you sell out early! You will not be invited back if you pack up or leave your booth before 5:00 pm! If there is an emergency, please let us know what is going on. We can help!
· The roads will be closed until 5:30pm Saturday afternoon. Please use the time between 5 and 5:30 to pack-up your booth on to the sidewalk in preparation for loading into your vehicle. The roads will be open to Vendors ONLY at 5:30pm, and the general public at 6pm. Please be assertive about safety - it’s everyone’s responsibility.
