BOOMbal Dance Hall

BOOMbal Dance Hall has been a craze here since 2010, making great use of a 1946-era building that was purchased and renovated by the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council in 2009. The classic hardwood floors of the Main Street Gallery are perfect for a two-step, swing, or jitterbug – and you could learn any of these alongside an eclectic mix of folk – from fishermen and artists to high schoolers and summer workers.

Local artist Evon Zerbetz brought the BOOMbal Dance Hall to Ketchikan, sharing her passion for multiple forms of dance. Beginners are welcome, as each session starts off with an instructor teaching the moves. Come with a group, partner, or solo, have fun with the locals, and try something new.
