A Mixed Media Menagerie

Featuring Solo Artist Cindi Lagoudakis

 

Cindi Lagoudakis is the artist and owner of Rabbits Foot Studios in Petersburg Alaska since 2013 where she creates art using monotype printmaking, photography, acrylic, and mixed media artwork. She has participated in many of Ketchikan’s open call exhibits and is the 2013 winner of the Blueberry Arts Festival Logo with “Berry Night”
Currently, Cindi Lagoudakis is the Director of the Clausen Memorial Museum in Petersburg Alaska.
“My studio has views of forest and shoreline, and the ravens, chickadees, flickers, jays and other birds who are frequent visitors. Sometimes well-behaved and sometimes not, their antics inspire me to tell their stories in paper, pen, ink and paint. My very first pet was a parakeet, whose death alerted my family to a dangerous gas leak, thereby saving our lives. As bird populations decline worldwide, “Fowl Play” is a bit of a double entendre, reminding us of the necessity of caring for our environment, and all those who inhabit it.”
