2020-2021 Artists and Sign in Books

Sara Dove Orozco is a Mexican-American cut paper artist influenced by traditional papel picado-- by the colorful lace-like banners strung overhead during parties and festivals. She recalls seeing vibrant artwork on childhood trips to the states of Jalisco and Michoacán in Mexico.” Her new series, “Eroticism is...” features colorful cut-paper skeletons making love and otherwise entangled in sensuality. Orozco’s art invites us to smile, laugh, blush, and grab our loved ones for a bear-hug.
