The Blueberry Arts Festival has evolved over the years to include a variety of community activities. Though participants will undoubtedly encounter blueberries and slugs, the festival remains, above all, a celebration of the arts.
Each winter, KAAHC launches an open Call to Artists, inviting local creators to submit original designs. A selection panel chooses the winning piece of artwork. Once selected, the design transforms into a cherished memento.
Locals and visitors collect these shirts year after year, transforming the community into a walking, living gallery of Ketchikan's graphic design history.
