Ketchikan Writes: Play Writing
Join Taylor McKenna at 5:30 p.m. at the Ketchikan Public Library for “From Snippets to Stage: Play Writing,” a free course!
Here’s a brief overview:
“Two local poets were once commissioned to create a script. They had two restrictions: a bed was the only set piece and the script had to be about Ketchikan. Their final product, Bedsheets, became a FCP production, and a performance piece in Juneau. In this playwriting workshop we will explore how you can transform a snippet of conversation, a specific locale, or even a single piece of furniture into a script. You will also be able to work on and receive feedback for scripts that are in progress.”
