Delores Churchill and Mary Moran Named Grand Marshals for the 2025 Ketchikan 4th of July Parade
Ketchikan, Alaska – The Greater Ketchikan Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to announce that beloved community leaders Delores Churchill and Mary Moran have been selected as the Grand Marshals for the 2025 4th of July Parade. These two remarkable women embody the heart and soul of Ketchikan, and their selection honors decades of dedication, leadership, and community service.

Delores and Mary have each played an instrumental role in shaping Ketchikan into the vibrant and resilient community it is today. They have shown what it means to lead with grace, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to others.

“Delores and Mary represent the very best of Ketchikan,” said the Chamber’s President, Trevor Shaw. “They have given so much of their time, energy, and love to this town. Naming them Grand Marshals is a celebration of their incredible impact—and a thank-you from a community that deeply appreciates them.”
This year’s parade theme, “A Wonderland of Opportunity,” highlights the creativity, resourcefulness, and boundless potential found in our corner of Alaska. As Grand Marshals, Delores and Mary perfectly represent the spirit of possibility and the strong foundation upon which new opportunities are built both locally and globally.

The Ketchikan 4th of July Parade will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, July 4, 2025, winding its way through downtown with a dazzling display of floats, local groups, and hometown pride. Parade participants, volunteers, and spectators are invited to celebrate the day and also honor two of Ketchikan’s finest.
