Each week at approximately 8:20 am KRBD hosts the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council for their weekly report on arts and humanities in Ketchikan and the surrounding area. Get a synopsis of the local music scene, performances, Gallery exhibits, pop-ups, and Calls to artists. The Arts Report often features special guests from the Ketchikan Theatre Ballet, Artists, and Curators. Tune in weekly to KRBD 105.3 FM Ketchikan, Metlakatla and Saxman, 107.1 FM North Ketchikan, Ward Cove, and Ketchikan, 101.7: Craig, 90.7: North Point Higgins, 90.1: Mountain Point, Hydaburg, Klawock, and Thorne Bay.

Ketchikan Public Library presents Fun in the Afternoon!, a monthly program for adults with an intellectual disability. This is a free adult program, with activities that include games, art, and crafts.

First City Council on Cancer is looking for chairs for their upcoming CHAIR-ity where they will be decorated by local artists/designers for their auction fundraiser on October 10th. If you have a sturdy chair you are willing to donate, contact Jackie Jones Bailey at 907-831-1202.

Artist Patrick Carrico depicts tourism workers during off hours when the "performance" is over, offering recognition of a workforce that is overlooked.

The Main Street Gallery is a program of the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council. Exhibit Openings at the Main Street Gallery are always the first Friday of the Month! New exhibits are mounted each month by artists and curators.

Main Street Gallery exhibits run the first Friday of each month, through the last full week of the month.

Main Street Gallery exhibits and Artist Presentations are always free and open to the public!

ARTober Art Walk!

The ARTober Art Walk, presented by the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council, features local artists and art galleries in Ketchikan, Alaska. Visit local shops and see what Ketchikan's creatives have been up to! You will certainly be delighted and inspired - PLUS find some great food and listen to local musicians! Don't forget to visit the Main Street Gallery at 330 Main Street for our October exhibition!

Even if its raining sideways - the ARTober Art Walk is ALWAYS a fun evening!!!!
