Release of “Mixed Up” the 35th Annual Wearable Art Show FILM, on-demand There will be individual tickets available for $25 and Family/household tickets available for $45 Each ticket will be available for 48 hours. The film will be available for viewing from April 17 – May 2.

Actos de Confianza
that NALAC has launched a new relief effort to support our Latinx community as we collectively work through challenges created by COVID-19. Actos de Confianza is a COVID-19 relief program that exclusively supports Latinx art and culture makers. The $2,500 artist grants and $5,000 organization grants aim to provide relief to those facing critical financial emergencies due to the impact of COVID-19 in the United States and Puerto Rico. The 2021 Actos de Confianza relief grant program continues with its third cycle launching in Western U.S. The application is open now for Latinx artists and organizations within Alaska . The Open Call will run from April 28th, 2021 to May 12th, 2021.

Arts Report on KRBD
Each week at approximately 8:20 am KRBD hosts the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council for their weekly report on arts and humanities in Ketchikan and the surrounding area. Get a synopsis of the local music scene, performances, Gallery exhibits, pop-ups, and Calls to artists. The Arts Report often features special guests from the Ketchikan Theatre Ballet, Artists, and Curators. Tune in weekly to KRBD 105.3 FM Ketchikan, Metlakatla and Saxman, 107.1 FM North Ketchikan, Ward Cove, and Ketchikan, 101.7: Craig, 90.7: North Point Higgins, 90.1: Mountain Point, Hydaburg, Klawock, and Thorne Bay.

Artist Presentation - Act III: Tides of Transition
The Artist Presentation will be in-person at the Main Street Gallery, Saturday, May 15th, 11:00 am - 12:30 pm
Meet three of the four prolific artists who collaborated on this exquisite three-dimensional exhibit of fiber art. The artists will discuss how they work and play together especially during a pandemic, and how they are as diverse as the kelp forest featured in the exhibit. Class size is limited Please call the Arts Council to reserve your spot (907) 225-2211.
