Saxman Totem Row Park

Saxman’s Totem Row Park was established in the 1930s by a federal Civilian Conservation Corps program.  The program collected and restored totem poles found in abandoned Tlingit villages, primarily Cape Fox and Tongass, and placed them within a new public park in Saxman.

Totem Row Park offers visitors an unmatched opportunity to view the world’s largest collection of authentic Tlingit totem poles within the context of a living, breathing Alaska Native community.  In addition to over 20 totem poles, Saxman’s Totem Row Park includes ancient petroglyphs, Victorian/Edwardian-era marble funerary and memorial art, as well as wildlife viewing opportunities along Saxman’s waterfront.

Location: 3 miles South of downtown Ketchikan.
