Batik Tie-Dye Extravaganza!

Instructor Loren McCue will lead students in this six week session of Batik Tie-Dye. The art of Batik is a method of dying textiles having first applied wax to the parts to be left undyed. Colored artful designs can be used in quilts, scarfs, blankets, and wall hangings. All classes will be held at the new ARTery!!! A space where young people make ART!!!! 

Classes will run for six Saturdays, October 26 - November 30th, culminating in a gallery quality piece that will be exhibited in the Main Street Gallery's Youth in Art Exhibit. Opening reception during the Winter Art Walk, December 6th. The students will be displayed for the duration of the exhibit until December 13th. 

Youngins grades 1st through 6th run 10:00am - 12:00pm

Oldins grades 7th through 12th run 1:00pm - 3:00pm
