 onomy. We’re pleased to reintroduce these awards with a new approach.”\n\n
     Project Awards are now open. The Foundation is accepting applications 
 through June 9\, 2025. This year\, Rasmuson Foundation will grant up to 50
  project awards of $10\,000 each. Project Awards are short-term projects t
 hat clearly benefit the artist and their development.  These awards are op
 en to all career stages.\n\n    Fellowship will open in 2026 and will cont
 inue to open in alternate years of Project Awards. Up to 20 Fellowships of
  $25\,000 will be awarded to mid-career or mature artists. These awards ar
 e flexible funds for artists to advance their creative practice.\n\n    Di
 stinguished Artist Award nominations closed in March. This award will open
  yearly\, recognizing creative excellence and significant artistic accompl
 ishments. It is a one-time award of $50\,000.\n\n“The Individual Artist Aw
 ards is a highly competitive program. Each year\, we receive hundreds of w
 ell-qualified applicants\,” said Chris Perez\, Rasmuson Foundation vice pr
 esident of programs. “Separating project and fellowship awards into altern
 ating years means that we can help more artists by award type each cycle.”
 \n\nSince 2003\, the program has invested more than $6.5 million in suppor
 ting the career development of Alaskan artists. Artists living in Alaska a
 t every career stage are encouraged to learn more about these awards at Ra
 smuson.org where they can find program guidelines\, eligibility criteria\,
  FAQs\, and an online application. Awarded artists must wait three years b
 efore applying for a new Individual Artist Award.\n\nThe application perio
 d for Project Awards is April 7 through June 9\, 2025\, and awards will be
  announced in late 2025. Fellowships will open in 2026. The 2025 Distingui
 shed Artist award will be announced this fall.
