 dividuals for ceremonial occasions. The frontlet features the owner’s hous
 e or clan crest carved in high relief and is traditionally part of an elab
 orate headdress. Renowned Tlingit carver Tommy Joseph will guide students 
 through the steps of this challenging project from design\, to the basic f
 orm\, and finishing details. This class counts toward a Certificate of Mer
 it in Carving.\n\nRegistration for Spring classes opens in December 2022.
