 and they created our town. \n\nOur ability to make is at the foundation of
  our history and culture. This special exhibit explores how vital our hand
 s are to our identity\, how important they are in transforming our environ
 ment and building our town\, and how they keep our community alive today. 
  \n\nSolving Problems\, Telling Stories: Handcraft in a Harsh Environment\
 , the new special exhibit at the Tongass Historical Museum\, opens to the 
 public on Friday\, March 1\, 2019\, with an opening reception from 5-7:00 
 PM.  \n
