Ketchikan area Artists and Creatives have been inspiring the communities of this area since the beginning. Whether it is beautifully engineered and created halibut hooks, or the magnificent totem poles of the area, to the stories, poetry and drawings for the inception of the Alaska Magazine, to the creation and evolution of Wearable Art in Alaska artists continue to make the world we live in meaningful and joyful.

KRBD invites you to submit your design for our 2026 50th Birthday Party logo. Next year, on May 23, KRBD will host a birthday bash to celebrate 50 years of community radio in Southern Southeast Alaska. Starting with a day full of live music from local musicians, the evening will feature a fun community event at Ted Ferry Civic Center with food, drinks, music, dancing, and more!
Now is your chance to be a part of KRBD history! Your logo will be featured in all event publicity and printed on merchandise for sale. Please follow the guidelines below:
• Mail or drop off original artwork to KRBD 1101 Copper Ridge Lane Ketchikan, AK 99901 or email digital files to linda@krbd.org by 5:00pm AKST, Monday December 10th, 2025.
• Entries must be original design and original artwork
• Entries must be a camera-ready design or image.
• Digital artwork must be in a scalable vector graphic format (EPS) PDF and JPG files are acceptable.
• The design must incorporate the words: “KRBD Community Radio”, “2026”, "50 years" and “Ketchikan, Alaska”.
