Opening reception Friday, August 3 from 5 - 7 pm.
Annual juried art show of burgeoning artists from Ketchikan and elsewehere, working in a variety of media- watercolor, oil, jewelry, multi-media, fabric, and more. This opening is one of many events involved in the annual Blueberry Arts Festival and offers first, second, third prizes.

The Ketchikan Area Arts & Humanities Council’s
Mainstay Gallery invites artists to submit works for this annual exhibit.
Entry deadline: All pieces must be at the Mainstay Gallery, 716 Totem Way, Ketchikan, AK 99901, by 5pm, Monday, July 30th.
Reception: The Mainstay Gallery will host an opening reception on Friday, August 3rd, from 5-7pm. Artists are encouraged to attend.
Entry fees: Free to KAAHC members, $25 for non-KAAHC members. Registration form available on our website. Entries submitted by mail must include a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient return postage in addition to the entry fee.
Criteria: Artwork must not have been previously exhibited in Ketchikan. Open to all artists working in all media, maximum of two entries per artist. All two-dimensional entries must be framed and ready to hang with wires, saw-toothed hangers, etc. Cardboard and plastic hooks are not acceptable. All three-dimensional entries must be ready for display. For larger entries, please check in advance with the Arts Council to ensure that we can accommodate your piece.
Sales: Submitted art pieces may be for sale. The KAAHC receives a 25% donation on all sales.
Miscellaneous: The KAAHC reserves the right to exclude work that is inappropriate for this exhibit. Your work will be treated with respect and care. KAAHC is not responsible for the loss or damage of submitted artwork not covered by insurance.

Prizes:
First Prize: $150 cash & a $100 gift certificate to Tongass Business Center’s art supply room
Second Prize: $125 cash & a $75 gift certificate to the Frame Shop at the Exploration Gallery
Third Prize: $100 cash & a $50 gift certificate to Tatsuda’s IGA
(Cash prizes provided through the generous support of Royal Caribbean International and Celebrity Cruises.)
