Call for Artists

The Mainstay Gallery Committee requests artists working in all media to submit works for the April 2007 exhibit of self-portraits.  As perhaps man's most intimate and pure display of consciousness, self-portraiture reveals the artist as he sees himself, as he wants to be seen, how he studies himself, how he imagines himself, and as the simple signature which states "I lived", lingering long after the artist has passed. 

Submissions can be of any media; abstract, representational, gestural, etc.  All pieces must be at the Mainstay Gallery, 716 Totem Way, Ketchikan, AK 99901 by 5pm, Friday, March 30, 2007.
