Each May, Ketchikan pays tribute to our marine landscape with the Celebration of the Sea Art Walk, held on the first Friday of May. Local galleries hold simultaneous receptions to start their summer season throughout Art Walk night. Each stop along the Walk will reveal new and beautiful works by local artists, including light refreshments. Drop in to any of the participating galleries on the night of the Art Walk to pick up a map and let your imagination choose your route.

These walks draw special attention to visual art and artists living in the Ketchikan area, as well as introduce the community to visiting artists and different visual art forms. They also demonstrate how integral arts are to the town’s economic identity.
