The deeper Linda Tillery pursues her roots, the more her artistry blossoms. She has been long regarded as one of the San Francisco Bay Area’s most versatile singers. The Cultural Heritage Choir is a Grammy-nominated, percussion driven vocal ensemble with a mission to preserve Black American music from slave songs to soul, while exploring the music’s West African roots. This performance will showcase African music as well as spirituals, gospel, soul and contemporary pieces.
