After a year hiatus, Ketchikan's Literary Journal was adopted by the KAAHC and its Ketchikan Writers Forum in 2001. Inside Passages is a venue for poetry and prose by regional writers, or poetry and prose of regional interest by national writers.  The 2006 Inside Passages features works by Bonnie Douglas, Steven Alvarez, Peggy Kennedy, Amy Lloyd, Molly Mix, Mary Lynne Dahl, Kelsey Foote, Faith L. Duncan, David Fletcher, James Guenther, Amos Hopkins, John Sullivan, Bill Hupe, Susan Batho, Bianca Nacionales, Don Chenhall, George R. Pasley, Jackie Williams, Evon Zerbetz, Cheryl Stadig, Michael S. Queen, Rudy Saccomanno, MJ Turek, Eddie Snodderly, and Dave Kiffer, with cover art by Mary Ida Henrikson.

2007-2008 Inside Passages  

Ketchikan’s literary magazine, is entering its eighteenth year of publication.  Editors are looking for poems (100 lines, maximum), short stories and essays (up to 2500 words), and artwork suitable for grayscale reproduction.  Please submit your work in the body of an email message (to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it ) or on a digital CD.  Hard copies mailed in will be accepted as well.  Publication will be in November, available at the Winter Arts Faire.  Please keep in mind the mission of this local publication when submitting.  Those selected for publication will receive one copy of Inside Passages.  Additional volumes may be purchased at a discount.  Submission requirements:  Please fill out the Inside Passages 2007-2008 Registration form below with your address, phone number, title(s) of your work, a 4-line biography, and include a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage for the return of your materials if you desire.  Submissions must be received by September 14th by 5pm, to the Ketchikan Area Arts and Humanities Council, in the body of an email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it re: Inside Passages, or mail hard copies and CDs to 716 Totem Way, Ketchikan, AK 99901, Attn: Inside Passages.  Call (907)225-2211 for more information.
