Baby Love: Celebrating the Art and

Craft of Babies, Birth and Mothers.

April 3-24, 2009

An Open Call Exhibit

Ketchikan embraces babies like no other community. Time and time again they are welcomed by loving hands with handmade treasures- quilts, sweaters, baby books, furniture, jewelry, portraits, hats, cut paper silhouettes, belly casts and more.

The Baby Love exhibit wants to collect the best handcrafted items in the area that reflect the joy of motherhood, birth and babies through age two. Items selected for display must be handcrafted, drawn, painted or constructed for a mother or child. Family heirlooms are welcome. Individuals and artists are welcome to submit up to two items each for consideration.

There will be a special table for scrapbook pages and baby photos, so feel free to submit your favorite, carefully labeled of course!
