2009 Wearable Arts Show

Call to Artists

This years theme is: 

"Feast Your Eyes"

Artists of ALL media are invited to create functional...or perhaps not so functional pieces of WEARABLE ART. You are encouraged, but not required, to create pieces along the Feast Your Eyes theme. Our themes are used for staging the Show, but are not intended to limit entries.

Wearable art is handcrafted and one-of-a-kind artwork designed to be worn by the human body, NOT READY MADE COSTUMES. Your work will be exhibited in performance, and we encourage you to think about the presentation of your piece: movement, theatricality, etc.

Runway Fashion Shows will be held at the Ted Ferry Civic Center
        Gala performances (including no-host bar):       

Thursday, February 5th, 2009 at 8pm   
    Friday, February 6th, 2009, at 8pm
and
    Saturday, February 7th, 2009, at 8pm

All Ages performance:    
    Saturday, February 7th, 2009, at 3pm

It is MANDATORY that all entries participate in all 3 Gala performances, as well as the Saturday Matinee unless deemed inappropriate for young audiences.
