2008 Inside Passages Call to Artists & Writers Inside Passages, Ketchikan’s own literary magazine, is entering its nineteenth year of publication. Inside Passages is published annually by the Writer’s Forum, which is a program of the Arts Council. Entry deadline: All submissions must be at the Mainstay Gallery, 716 Totem Way, Ketchikan, AK 99901, by 5pm, September 12th. Entry fees: Please include a self-addressed envelope with sufficient postage for the return of your materials if you would like them returned. Criteria: Editors are looking for poems (100 lines maximum), short stories and essays (up to 2500 words), and artwork suitable for grayscale reproduction. Hard copies mailed in will be accepted as well, though digital files are preferred. Please fill out the Inside Passages 2008-2009 Registration Form with your name, address, phone number, title(s) of your work and a 4-line biography. Registration forms are available at www.ketchikanarts.org and at the Arts Council office. Publication: Publication will be in November and be ready for purchase at the Winter Arts Faire, November 28 & 29. Those selected for publication will receive one complimentary copy of Inside Passages. Up to two additional volumes may be purchased at a discount of $5 (the retail price is $7).
