Gordon Bok and Carol Rohl @ Saxman Print
Saturday, September 27 2008, 8:00pm - 10:00pm

Gordon Bok returns to Ketchikan to perform with Carol Rohl, bringing songs and tales from the boatyards of Maine . He is truly a fisherman musician, having spent time on fishing boats, passenger schooners, and as a deckhand, mate, and captain of various yachts. He has collected many tunes, sea songs, stories, legends, and ballads from the people he has worked with. Bok gives added depth to the people whose lives are built around fishing, with beautifully crafted and delivered stories of their physical and inner lives. Gordon Bok offers his own unique perspective and sound to the world of folk music. Carol Rohl adds her voice and her harp to Gordon’s guitar and stories expressed in song. Don’t miss this incredible dual performance on Saturday, September 27th at the Saxman Tribal House. Tickets are $15, and are available through the Arts Council at 225-2211, and McPherson Music, Madison Hardware, Tongass Business Center , and Soho Coho.
